What Can Be Transferred?
- Products: You can easily export your products as a CSV file and import them into your new store.

What Can Not Be Transferred?
- Collections: Collections need to be manually recreated in your new store.
- Design Elements: Design elements like sliders and banners will need to be recreated.
Steps to Transfer Your Store Data
1. Export Data from Your Current Store
- Products: Go to your Products page, select the products you want to export, and click “Export.”
- Customers: Navigate to your Customers page, select the customers, and click “Export.”
- Theme: Go to your Online Store > Themes, click the three dots next to your theme, and select “Download theme.”
2. Import Data Into Your New Store
You will get an email from Shopify with Products and theme as an attachment. Download products csv file and theme files.
- Products: Your next step is Go to your Products page in your new store, click “Import products,” and upload the exported CSV file.
- Customers: Follow a similar process to import customers.
- Upload Your Theme: Go to your Online Store > Themes in your new store, click “Add theme,” and upload the downloaded theme file.
Additional Tips:
- Backup Your Store: Before making any changes, create a backup of your current store.
Test Thoroughly: After transferring your data, test your new store to ensure everything is working correctly.
Update Domain Settings: Remember to update your domain settings in your new store.
Consider Using a Migration App: For a more streamlined process, you might consider using a third-party migration app.
